What is the Synology BeeDrive and who is it suitable for?

The Synology BeeDrive is the perfect product for those who want to avoid dealing with complex technology and backups. The user-friendly BeeDrive desktop app ensures that all data from your PC or Mac can be backed up to the BeeDrive when needed. Additionally, the desktop app serves as a bridge to the smartphone app, allowing all pictures to be automatically transferred from the smartphone to the BeeDrive with just a few clicks.

In my opinion, it is a fair deal.

Securely Store Your iPhone Photos with the Synology BeeDrive

In addition to the BeeDrive app, the Synology BeeDrive also offers integration with the Files app on the iPhone. This allows files or photos to be shared directly from the Files app with the BeeDrive app and transferred at lightning speed depending on Wi-Fi speed.

I recommend choosing the original format (HEIC) for storing your iPhone photos. Converting the images to JPG format is not advisable, in my opinion, as the file size for JPG is much larger, and modern operating systems like Windows 11 and macOS can easily open and display the HEIC format. This way, you retain the high quality of your photos while saving storage space.

The BeeDrive can also be connected to the iPhone 14 via USB-C, allowing photos or files to be transferred via cable. However, the BeeDrive app with automatic backup cannot be used in this case.
